Steffen co-founded one of Germany’s first internet service providers which was the nucleus for his second project EBERTLANG. He also co-founded Calsmunt Capital, an investment and holding operation.

Prior to his entrepreneurial career Steffen was a NOC specialist with German Air Force and studied law at Giessen Law School of Justus Liebig UniversityIT-BUSINESS named him Top-100 Channel-VIP for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Steffen is an advisor to several software vendors and ICT distributors. He has a deep understanding of both the German and European IT, software and MSP space. For more than 25 years he is being trusted as a successful market opener for software companies looking for a sales channel especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As a serial entrepreneur Steffen acquired a great knowledge of starting-up, building and successfully selling ventures to both strategic as well as financial investors.

EBERTLANG is Germany’s best value-added IT distributor according to Computer Reseller News (2017 and 2018) and ComputerPartner (2019, 2020 and 2021). In 2017 Beyond Capital Partners invested in the company and in 2019 HQ Equita, the mid-cap buyout firm of Harald Quandt Group, acquired EBERTLANG.

Calsmunt Capital is the holding and investment operation of Steffen Ebert and Volker Lang. The two entrepreneurs from Hesse are a successful management team for more then 25 years. Calsmunt Capital’s investments are focussed on private equity and real estate. Steffen is a shareholder and Managing Director.
